After nearly two decades of experience in the engineering and construction industry, Hareesh Kona founded Kona Engineering in 2022 with a simple but powerful vision—to deliver world-class engineering services built on expertise, integrity, and client-focused solutions.
Hareesh’s path to entrepreneurship was shaped not only by professional experience but also by personal perseverance. Losing his father at a young age brought significant responsibility and hardship early in life. Those challenges instilled in him a deep sense of determination, resilience, and self-reliance. Rather than becoming obstacles, those experiences became the driving force behind his ambition to build something meaningful.
Throughout his career, Hareesh developed extensive expertise across engineering, design, construction, strategic planning, program management, and business development. He has successfully delivered projects across the power, telecommunications, and utility sectors and is widely recognized as a subject matter expert in Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE). His work includes the design and management of complex underground infrastructure projects that require precision, coordination, and technical excellence.
Hareesh is known within the industry as a results-oriented leader with a strong ability to transform challenges into opportunities. Over the years, he has helped organizations strengthen operations, improve project performance, and achieve measurable growth.

Hareesh holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and a Master’s degree in Construction Management. He is a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in several states and an active member of professional organizations including ASCE, NSPE, and IEEE.
He lives in Lansdale, Pennsylvania, with his wife and two children.
